Description
Turkey has currently no nuclear power plant (NPP) in operation but there are two NPP projects are being implemented: Akkuyu NPP and Sinop NPP.
The purpose of the draft regulation on decommissioning for nuclear facilities is to regulate the rules to be applied during safely decommissioning of nuclear facilities. This draft Regulation covers activities and roles in the decommissioning process of nuclear power plants.
Responsibilities of the operating organizations are also regulated in the intergovernmental agreements including the financial issues which are also given in this paper.
