Oral Track 16: Public and Stakeholder Engagements in SMR Development and Deployment

Speaker

Mr Balazs Kocsis (MVM Paks NPP Ltd.)

Description

There is a lot of research on SMRs, from technological developments to their environmental impact. The aim of this presentation is to identify and synthesise, in a systematic review, relevant literature from key international sources from around the world, from the last 10 years (2013-2024).

My research focuses on the dangers associated with small modular nuclear power plants. In addition to the undoubted advantages, there is therefore the social issue of the economic viability, the potential for nuclear accidents and the management of the waste generated by their operation.
