Description

Nucleco is the leading company in Italy in the field of radiological services, in the management of radioactive waste and in the decontamination and remediation of nuclear plants and industrial sites.
Nucleco creates and implements services that contribute to realize a “more sustainable society”. It complies with UNI EN ISO 9001 (Quality), UNI EN ISO 14001 (Environment) and UNI ISO 45001 (Safety) standards, is certified for SA8000 (Social Accountability International Standard) and obtained the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) registration.
Nucleco has recently embarked on a new path, with Sogin S.p.A. to complete a Sustainability Plan, to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
In order to reduce the impact relating to its activities, the Company is working to evaluate its carbon footprint according to the GHG protocol, involving its suppliers in a reduction process of greenhouse gas emissions.
In this path of sustainability, the younger staff is trained with “on-the-job” and “work shadow” methods, to acquire skills in the execution of complex operations, to guarantee the protection of the health and safety of any person who works at or on behalf of Nucleco. Furthermore, the development of efficient and safe innovative technologies, such as the 3D Survey, a particular system aimed at the reconstruction of virtual models of sites with radiological problems, makes it possible to reduce the exposure of personnel workers, ensuring high quality standards of the services provided.
