POSTER Track 5 - Practical experiences in integrating safety and sustainable development

Speaker

Mrs Eva Fojcíková (ABmerit)

Description

The sustainability of nuclear energy production depends on the sustainability and acceptability of the entire fuel cycle chain. Demonstration of safe operation without unacceptable harmful effects to inhabitants and to non-human biota is a necessary condition for sustainability. Presented and discussed are methodology, algorithms and outputs of the tool ESTE, which is software for radiological impacts assessment of long-term operation of various nuclear fuel cycle facilities. The ESTE code is a tool for radiological impacts assessment to human beings and to non-human biota.
