Description

Operation of radioactive waste (RAW) treatment facilities, RAW repositories and Interim spent fuel storage facilities could potentially lead to radiation emergencies with potential radiological consequences for the public population. Presented and discussed is approach and methodology of the source term assessment for identified foreseeable radiation emergencies at given type of RAW facilities. Discussed and presented are legal requirements, methodology and results of analyses of potential radiological impacts beyond the boundary of given RAW facilities.
