Description

The Technical and Scientific Support organization (TSO) Forum also known as TSOF was established following the recommendations of the TSO Conference 2010 in Tokyo. The objectives of the Forum as defined in the Terms-of-Reference are to encourage open dialogue and sharing of scientific and technical information among the technical experts and their TSOs in general worldwide. The Forum is open to all member States after official nomination. The IAEA hosts numerous networks to support the international efforts to enhance nuclear safety and security. The Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN) integrates numerous global, regional and thematic networks, is a working platform and document archive and gives access to many information resources of the IAEA. The TSO Forum is fully integrated in GNSSN. The paper gives an overview of the structure of TSOF in GNSSN. Like many other networks it includes a public and a password protected section. Major activities of the Forum and their reflection in the network are discussed. TSOF has a Steering Committee with chair and vice-chair. Major meetings at IAEA and internationally are used to promote the Forum. Those technical experts who are not yet members of the Forum will be invited to join TSOF and to benefit from enhanced international collaboration.
