Guidelines for Publication
Publications
Two records of contributions to the 15th IAEA Technical Meeting on Control Systems, Data Acquisition, Data Management, and Remote Participation in Fusion Research (IAEA TM 2026) are available:
- Oral and poster presentations will be available on the IAEA Technical Meeting website in a public section;
- Authors may submit their articles to the hybrid journal Fusion Engineering and Design (FED) – Special Issue for IAEA TM 2026.
Acceptance is not automatic; articles will undergo a full review according to academic literature standards. Publication of accepted manuscripts will occur in a special issue of FED, typically published approximately 10 months after the technical meeting. However, accepted articles are made available online before being published in print in the special issue shortly after acceptance. Please see the submission instructions below.
Submission Deadlines
You need to submit presentation slides and posters the evening before your presentation or poster session.
Submissions for the special issue of the journal Fusion Engineering and Design are due by June 30, 2026.
Fusion Engineering and Design
Only contributions presented at the 2026 IAEA TM in the form of talk or poster will be considered for publication.
Preparing your Manuscript
Go to FED instruction for author webpage and review the information contained therein.
Manuscripts submitted to FED must not have been published elsewhere. Maximum length of the manuscript is 8 pages.
There are no strict formatting requirements but all manuscripts must contain the essential elements needed to convey your manuscript, for example Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, Artwork and Tables with Captions. If your article includes any Videos and/or other Supplementary material, this should be included in your initial submission for peer review purposes. Divide the article into clearly defined sections. A Latex template is available at https://www.elsevier.com/researcher/author/policies-and-guidelines/latex-instructions. To further assist you in preparing your submissions, we have introduced an additional Word template. This template is designed to facilitate your manuscript creation and can be easily accessed through the following link: https://conferences.iaea.org/event/450/ . Please note that this is only for guidance.
