Description

Event will take place in meeting room M0E16.

Data Centres Network

The Atomic, Molecular and Plasma-Material Interaction Data Centres Network (DCN) is a collection of 12 national data centres for the collection, critical assessment, evaluation and generation of fundamental data for fusion applications.

The heads of the data centres, constitute a standing Advisory Group for advising the Agency on the technical aspects of data exchange and processing. This Advisory Group holds a biennial meeting for analysis, coordination and planning of all DCN activities.

28th DCN (DCN28) meeting 2025 will be organized from 1 - 3 Oct 2025 at IAEA Headquarters, Vienna, Austria. Meeting invitees comprise of DCN Advisory Group members and of guest experts.

Remote connection will be made available through Cisco Webex video conferencing and connection details will be provided for the registered meeting participants.

DCN28 meeting material and presentations will be managed through Indico web page, which allows participants to upload their presentation abstracts and viewgraphs before the meeting. After the meeting, cleared material will be transferred to its public web page.

Special side topic

A special topic for discussion is a policy proposal for unified management of atomic and molecular data for fusion modelling. The proposal is based on a drafted document sent earlier to the DCN members. This document is an outcome of IAEA Technical Meetings [1,2] and a subsequent meeting organized by Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany [3]. The distributed document can be found under "Materials" in bottom of this page (password sent previously).

This special topic will be discussed jointly with SOLPS-ITER [4] Code Camp (organized by ITER Organization) on Thu 2 Oct.
