The International Atomic Energy Agency is organising a Technical Meeting (TM) on Advances and Innovations in Fast Reactor Design and Technology, bringing together developers, designers, vendors, and the broader international fast reactor community. In recent years, significant advancements in fast reactor technology have led to the development of various new reactor designs. To present these advances and innovations, as well as to identify related gaps and needs, the Technical Working Group on Fast Reactors (TWG-FR) recommended a Technical Meeting on this topic.

This event will provide a comprehensive review of the current status, global advancements, and cutting-edge innovations in the field of fast reactor design and technology. It will also address Member States' expressed needs for information exchange on projects and programmes in the field, as well as the identification of priorities based on the analysis of technology gaps to be addressed through research and development (R&D) activities at the international level under the IAEA's aegis.

Participants of the Technical Meeting on Advances and Innovations in Fast Reactor Design and Technology are invited to submit an extended abstract on one of the meeting topics via this website.

Reactor developers and designers are also invited to contribute to the IAEA Advanced Reactor Information System (ARIS), ether providing information on new reactor designs or updating existing projects. Instructions for submission are here.
