Publications
Two records of the contributions can be kept for the 14th IAEA Technical Meeting on Control Systems, Data Acquisition, Data Management and Remote Participation in Fusion Research (2024 IAEA TM):
- Oral Presentations and posters will be kept available on the IAEA Technical Meeting website in a public section;
- Authors may submit their papers to the hybrid journal Fusion Engineering and Design (FED) – Special Issue for the 2024 IAEA TM. Acceptance is not automatic: The papers will be fully reviewed to the standards of the scholarly literature. Publication of accepted manuscripts will occur in a special issue of FED, typically published about 10 months after the technical meeting. However, accepted papers are made available online before they appear in print in the special issue shortly after acceptance. Please see the submission instructions provided below.
Submission Deadlines
You need to submit presentation slides and posters the evening before your presentation or poster session.
Submissions for the special issue of the journal Fusion Engineering and Design (FED) are due by October 1st, 2024.
Fusion Engineering and Design
Only contributions presented at the 2024 IAEA TM in the form of talk or poster will be considered for publication.
Preparing your Manuscript
Go to the FED instruction for author webpage and review the information contained therein.
Manuscripts submitted to FED must not have been published elsewhere. Maximum manuscript length must be up to 8 pages.
There are no strict formatting requirements but all manuscripts must contain the essential elements needed to convey your manuscript, for example Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, Artwork and Tables with Captions. If your article includes any Videos and/or other Supplementary material, this should be included in your initial submission for peer review purposes. Divide the article into clearly defined sections. A Latex template is available at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/fusion-engineering-and-design/publish/guide-for-authors. To further assist you in preparing your submissions, we have introduced an additional Word template. This template is designed to facilitate your manuscript creation and can be easily accessed through the following link: https://conferences.iaea.org/event/377/ . Please note that this is only for guidance.

Please mention at least two preferred reviewers. Good candidates include colleagues working in the same field (but not from the authors’ institutions), or perhaps your session conveners.
Please take into account that submitting authors are required to review at least two papers as a condition for publication in the FED special issue.
