Description
Radioisotopes and radiation based technologies are widely used in a huge variety of industries to improve efficiency, enhance quality, optimize processes, achieve high performance materials, increase safety, for trouble shooting and so on. Many such applications are not known even to professionals with scientific background.
This presentation is aimed at outlining some of these technologies which influence our daily life and contribute to better quality of life. In particular, the role of radiation based techniques in providing better environment through mitigation pollutants in industrial effluents as well as being a clean technology will be highlighted.
