NORM is since many years a well-known topic. Many countries and the IAEA already did a lot of efforts to describe the risk activities and materials when it comes to NORM. But this information is until now almost unknown in the demolition industry. This counts as well for the demolition contractors, the recyclers of CDW as for the numerous consultants that are dealing with pre-demolition audits and demolition waste. All actors in the demolition industry should become better informed to avoid risk full situations with NORM.”
