These activities, besides bringing great benefits and efficiency to the society, generate significant amounts of norm residues and norm wastes into the environment. These substances can affect human health and the environment when accumulated in large quantities. Therefore, the control and management of these wastes and residues is an issue of concern, especially for regulatory agencies, in order to protect the health of the people and workers at the facilities as well as environmental protection.
