Call for Abstracts

  • Opening day
  • Submission deadline

PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION

Before submitting an abstract, you must create an INDICO account. Use the 'Login' tab in the top right corner of the page to register. If you are already a registered INDICO user, please log into the system.

Concise papers on topics falling within the scope of the meeting (see Topics for more information) may be submitted as contributions to the meeting. All papers, apart from invited papers, must present original work and must not have been published elsewhere. Anyone wishing to present a paper at the meeting is requested to submit an abstract of not more than 800 words in electronic format. Click ‘Submit new abstract’ to get started. Paper copies cannot be accepted. To modify a submitted abstract, click 'View My Abstracts' on the main page, select the abstract ID and click 'Modify'.

Abstracts should address one or more Topics, so authors should review the Topics within the Scientific Programme. The abstract should give enough information on the contents of the proposed paper to enable the Programme Committee to evaluate it. The accepted abstracts will be reproduced in unedited form and will be distributed to all participants at the conference.

ABSTRACTS ARE DUE BY 28 APRIL 2019

It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that the submitted abstracts have received any necessary clearance by the relevant governmental authorities.

Authors must further submit the Participation Form (Form A) and the Form for Submission of a Paper (Form B) to their appropriate governmental authority (see Anouncement) for transmission to the IAEA. These forms must be received by the IAEA no later than 28 APRIL 2019.

Country: The country must be the same as the author's country of designation in the official registration. If the country is not present in the list, please email the organizers and we will add it.

EXPENDITURES AND GRANTS

The IAEA is generally not in a position to bear the travel and other costs of participants in the meeting. However, limited funds are available to help meet the cost of attenstrong textdance of a few selected participants mainly from developing countries with low economic resources.
Generally, not more than one grant may be awarded to any one country, and grant applications will only be considered for authors of accepted papers. The grants awarded will be issued in the form of a lump sum payment that usually covers only part of the cost of attendance. If governments wish to apply for a grant on behalf of one of their participants, they should address specific requests to the IAEA Scientific Secretary (see Section L below). Governments should ensure that applications for grants:

  • Are received by the IAEA by 28 APRIL 2019;
  • Include a completed and signed Participation Form (Form A) and the abstract of the paper to be presented; and
  • Include a completed and signed Grant Application Form (Form C) as
well as a valid travel agent’s estimate of return flight costs between the nearest city or capital in their country and the meeting location. Applications that do not comply with the conditions mentioned above cannot be considered.

Grant awards will be announced by 30 June 2019.

PAPERS AND PROCEEDINGS

A limited number of extended synopses will be selected for submission of a full paper and, consequently, for either oral or poster presentation, which should be delivered during the sessions of the conference. Authors will be notified by 30 June 2019 as to whether their extended synopses have been accepted and, if so, whether the full papers should be delivered as oral or poster presentations. Authors will be asked to provide their full-length papers (a maximum of eight pages) by 30 September 2019. Guidelines and a template for the preparation and submission of full papers and posters will be made available on the conference web page. The full paper must be submitted through IAEA-INDICO system in the same way as the extended synopses. The Secretariat reserves the right to exclude papers that do not comply with its quality standards or that do not apply to one of the topics outlined of the conference.

The proceedings of the conference will be published by the IAEA and made available on the IAEA website soon after the conference. The proceedings will include the conference conclusions and recommendations, session summaries, and the full-papers.
